The river crew was set up in 2006 by David George. A returning paddler after a break from the sport. On his return he found it was difficult to find paddling partners and buddies to join him and he felt that some clubs were to Stuffy and uncomfortable so he started the river crew forum in order to find some like minded paddling friends.

With the help of freinds the river crew grew in size and paddlers from all over the country started to join in with trips out to various locations across the country and Europe.

Our paddlers vary from beginners to creative play boaters and experienced river runners but we are not a club, We are a collective of paddlers from the Uk who want to develop at our own pace without the fear of egotistical instructors or peers. We have a no patronizing policy and we welcome anybody who wants to paddle with us.
